Team Coaching and Consulting

Bethesda Basketball is a high quality organization in the DC Metro area. Individual lessons, private training, and skill development are the focus of our service. Elementary, middle and high school, even college athletes aspire, compete, and succeed at Bethesda Basketball. Offense, defense, shooting, dribbling and conditioning, basketball strength and team concepts are all taught by Coach Fitzpatrick.

Each player that trains with us has their own path, their own learning style, and their own ambition. As coaches we are motivators and we own the responsibility of cultivating players’ strengths and pro-actively executing a curriculum to develop weak points.

By experience, coaches are mindful of sportsmanship, teamwork, and athletes as role models in the community. Our identity is aware of the high-caliber, competitive culture here in the DC metro area, our coaches and players are up against the fiercest competition year round-it is our duty to prepare players for success.

Team Assistance

For the last few years I have worked with AAU, rec and house league, and Big Shot teams on fundamental team concepts and “program dynamics”-coach, parent, player harmony. For example, many teams have good athletes but are unable to defend stand-out players. Our staff is trained to be introduced to a team and implement drills and strategy, team consulting works especially well with Parent coached teams.

Individual Evaluation

By evaluating game film and working a player out I assess strengths and weaknesses and develop a personal program to work on.

Attitude

You’ve heard the phrase “Attitude is everything”. Bethesda Basketball emphasizes this philosophy with a strong community, grateful culture, and 100% effort policy.  The major growth periods for a player are when a player is outside their comfort zone. We also cultivate leaders by highlighting attributes during a players initial evaluation-its an expectation that players and coaches use their strengths to inspire and help the next player or coach.
